“But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not

The Bible is clear on being mindful of false prophets. Frankly, the only truth is
from the Bible itself. I am saddened when I watch or read self-claimed
“prophets” who claim they have more access to God than anyone else. The truth
is everyone has the same access. Every believer has the Holy Spirit within them.
Every believer has access to an unmodified Bible containing the same passages.
God transforms all of us through faith and the Holy Spirit. God wants a loving
relationship with everyone equally.
 
Do not be deceived. You are on a level playing field with God. Yes, you may have
unique gifts given to you by God to serve His Will but you can be as close to Him
as the next self-proclaimed “prophet.” God gives everyone equal access.

So, when you read or watch self-proclaimed “prophets”, listen with a grain of
salt. Read the Bible to garner truth and pray for truth. Allow God to guide you
on what you need to do. Let Him take the lead in your life. God, Himself will
never lead you astray. God, Himself will show you the truth. God, Himself will
demonstrate immense love and mercy for you as He does with everyone.
With the advent of technology, believers are more vulnerable to being led
astray. We are overrun with information. Perhaps, that’s why Jesus states:
“But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your
Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”

I take this passage simply as having a 1 on 1 with your Heavenly Father is so
important. Perhaps, Jesus stated this to protect you from self-proclaimed
“prophets.” Focus on God Himself and you will be rewarded with clear
direction.

When people ask me what's the one thing I ask God I want for myself, I would
say wisdom.
 
Wisdom comes from complete truth. One cannot be wise if the foundational
knowledge one has is false. That's why the Bible and prayer are so important.
One must go to the source to obtain the knowledge one needs to become wise.
One must have complete faith in God to understand what the words in the Bible
truly mean. Frankly, it's those who claim how the Bible has been interpreted
over the centuries that lead to false information being untrue. I would argue that
since the Bible has existed intact for 1900-plus years, it must be true because
truth never changes. I also argue a limitless, spaceless, holy being has the
power to ensure His Word remains untainted. It's that belief that drives faith
and, in turn, wisdom.
 
Truth can be corrupted by human beings. We see this all the time in the world
today. It's a deception that blurs truth. It's a deception that seeds disunity. Unity
cannot fully be obtained without truth because, unlike deception, truth never
changes. If everyone has the same truth, they are of the same thought and thus
are unified. It's the truth that unifies everyone because it ignites wisdom (unlike
deception which ignites ignorance and foolishness). It's the truth that extinguishes
confusion through deception.
 
So, if you want the truth to build wisdom, pray to God for help. Read the Bible
yourself. Clear your mind of all the opinions of what truth is. Have complete
faith God will answer your prayers for truth. Accept truth even though you don't
like what truth reveals. Once you have done this, your wisdom will improve.

It’s ironic when we think of Mission as simply converting the lost. Some of us
think this means Atheists are the only ones lost. Frankly, this is untrue. I see
many groups come to my door to share their beliefs and provide supplementary
materials as a foundation for their faith. It’s astonishing when some believe Jesus
is the brother of Lucifer. Others believe they must complete works and follow
ordinances as God’s Grace is simply not enough. Still, others see Jesus as the Arc
Angel Michael.
 
I am not writing this to offend. I am writing this because I love others and want
them to read the Bible without the supplements. They need to strip away the
teachings and relearn through the Bible directly. That’s where Mission really
comes in. We are not trying to divide, we are trying to unite through the
Gospels. We let God’s Word itself and the power of Christ do the work through
the Holy Spirit.
 
You know what I have found amazing? When those with supplemental
documents actually read the Gospel directly and find out that salvation is
through Grace and the blood shed by Christ on the Cross without the need for
works, they are dumbfounded. Surely, God does not give a gift freely without
works. Surely, the blood of Christ is not enough. When one shares the Bible and
encourages them to read and seek the Father for guidance and let them decide,
the power of God takes over.
 
The mission does not end with this encouragement to read the Bible. Many of
those who are lost in supplemental doctrine are leery to move to Biblical
teachings because their world is believers of the supplemental doctrine. If they
move to Biblical truth, they need us to be there for them. We need to help them
deal with their community loss by welcoming them into our community. We
need to love them, support them and allow God to give them the courage for
truth. Showing them the truth through scripture is only the beginning of loving
them.
 
So, when you have someone approach you with supplemental doctrine, ask
them about their beliefs in Christ and confirm it through the Bible. Ask them about
their need for works to enter God’s Grace and confirm with Biblical teachings
like this one:
“For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own
doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For
we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Mission work is not to change people. It’s to show them the truth through the
Gospels and plant a seed. It’s not to divide them, it’s to love them through the
Word of God. It’s to open the door so God Himself can show them the truth.
So, Missions can be done simply by sharing the Bible with those ordered to
actually come to your door to preach. Treat it as a sharing moment with them

and welcome them to your door with open arms.

Can you imagine going up a Mountain with Jesus and witnessing what happened
in Matthew 17? Imagine hearing a voice through a cloud telling you that Jesus is
His Son and you better listen to him. I think I would be falling on my face and
trembling like Peter and the others did.
God says His Word requires trembling because His Word is more important than
anything else. Yet, I know some Christians that have never opened the Bible.
They rely on others to “interpret” His Word. Frankly, relying solely on others can
be dangerous and make you vulnerable to false teachings. I have learned God
helps me understand His Word through the Holy Spirit. I know what’s true
through Him by reading the Bible. I don't need to “interpret” because I rely on
God to do that.
I know my love, faithfulness and eternity depend on me reading His Word
through the Bible directly. I don't want to be misled. The Bible has survived 1900
plus years (longer for the Old Testament) so I know it stands the test of time.
Truth never dies. Falsehoods die in time. It's amazing when one cracks open the
Bible shuts the door in their room and prays to God to reveal His truth. You can
sense the bond between teacher and learner. It's a bond where you become so
fulfilled and peaceful. Sometimes when I am done reading for the day, I can feel
a warm hug. The hug alone makes the time so worthwhile.
I urge every believer to take time aside to just crack open the Bible and ask God
to reveal His truth. Don't rely on anyone else’s “interpretation”. Yes, garnering
new aspects through Church is helpful but it should not be the only way you
learn the Word of God. That way, you will learn the truth and supplement it with
other believers.

I prayed for someone before Christmas and asked God if He would help me
connect a well-respected pastor to another for support. I sent this well-respected pastor an
email and asked him if he would be willing to connect.
 
Today, I received a wonderful response stating he was too busy to connect at
this time. Afterward, I thanked God.
 
Why? Even though I prayed for these two to connect, I was given a flat no and
then thanked God?
 
It's because God answered my prayer through the response email. God doesn't
promise me a yes response. He promises me an answer to my prayers! This
means God did listen to me and did give me a response. Imagine the God of the
Universe showing me He listens and responds! It confirms to me His loving
relationship with me.
 
So, when you pray, rejoice when you get any response. It really reconfirms that you
are being heard even if your prayer request results in a no answer.

Wow! I can’t get over how blessed I am! Imagine a God of the Universe listens
to minuscule me and answers my prayers! Shut the front door! One of my early
prayers was asking God to help me see the truth. I’m confused with all the
deception around me that it shields the truth. The river ran over with ways to zero
in on the truth. I see the truth like I’m wearing x-ray vision glasses. I really think God
protects me from most deception. I do think my small, focused world helps too.
I prayed over Covid. During Covid, I am completely calm but surrounded by
many who are terrified. I recently prayed and asked God whether I take the
vaccine or not. I await an answer but I know it’s forthcoming. So far the answer
is not yet. When I write, the cup runs over with ideas. My thoughts are focused
but overflowing to the point my fingers can’t type topics quick enough and my
time is finite in the daytime.
 
God has always wonderfully taken care of me. I can’t express my gratitude for how
fortunate I have been so far in this life. Yes, some roads were rocky but all roads
ended up paved. There are times I just spend praying about how much I love
Him, how blessed I am from Him and I will do anything He asks. Many times
when I pray, I want nothing except to just feel Him near. Sometimes, I just thank
He on having a peaceful day. Sometimes, I pray about my day like a schoolgirl
at the playground with other school girls. Again, it’s just to stroke up
the conversation so I can stay near to Him.
One of the reasons why I didn’t want to be part of a local Church was so I could
have fellowship but temper it with God-focused. My main focus is God. I just
want to be with Him and Him with me. When I pray, I want my prayers focused.
 
I do pray for others but with intensity. Since they are intense, I am select on who
I pray for you. I really respect those who pray for many. I just can’t seem to do it
with many because when I do, they seem to lose that intensity they deserve.
Most of my prayers are answered in amazing ways and are too numerous to
count. Perhaps, it’s because the asks are few and the intentions are righteous.
I think the main reason I am so blessed is that I have faith in Him. He knows
me because I want to be near Him. He makes me unafraid and unworried. He
focuses me on the big things and minimizes the small stuff.
Yes, I am ridiculously blessed! Thank you Heavenly Father!

I used to delude myself into thinking a loving God would never punish. Who am I
to make this judgment call? In Revelation, those in Heaven clearly
celebrate God’s Wrath because He is just and fair. It kind of reminds me of when
people in a Courtroom praise God when a convicted killer receives fair justice for
their crime(s). Or, when people in the courtroom are outraged when they think
justice was not served in balance to the crime committed.
God thinks at a much higher level than us. Our little opinions don’t matter.
That’s why we are to put God first. It’s because, whether we like it or not, we
know very little and He knows everything. He is balanced in love, mercy, and
justice better than any judge on this earth could imagine. Just like God, there
are many loving worldly judges who gives death sentences to those who
commit crimes. God sees all crime as sin.
 
So, God will hand out hard sentences to those who think they are nice people
but remain unrepentant sinners. Thank God for Jesus to give us a chance to be
saved!

I think the greatest change in me when I got closer to God is to shut up and
listen! I am only 56 and God is how old? I have broken many promises to God
and He has broken none. It’s me that needs to apologize and ask for forgiveness,
not Him. God sees everything, I see little and that’s even when I put on my
glasses.
I think the first ask during prayer to God when I finally took Him seriously was to
please show me the truth. He has and continues to answer this prayer in spades. I
learned I needed to completely change my thinking to know the truth. I have
been sucked into a world filled with everyone’s opinions through Facebook,
Twitter and a host of other Social Media and Media in general. Heck, I can even
throw my opinions in the mix with my own accounts too to add to the swirl.
How can one decipher the truth with everyone’s opinions swirling around me? God
is in Heaven with infinite wisdom and I’m listening to the words of a musician,
political leader, Facebook influencer, and popular religious leader to get the
truth? Now, I have the Bible first and foremost. I use other tools like reputable
sources but always check their information with scripture. You will be amazed
at what deceptions I have uncovered doing it this way. You will also be amazed
over what truth I uncovered that I thought was bogus.
Focus on people and you will garner the truth, not your truth. The Bible and the
Holy Spirit will lead the way. You simply just have to follow.

Today, I was thinking about how mathematics has impacted our lives. Did you know the basic “code” of computers and devices is simply the numbers 0 and 1? Zero means numbers and one means on. Everything from gravity to how the Universe operates requires math.  Time is mathematical. All structures around you require math. Digital currency is a series of digits and people are using mathematics to get rich. Oh, talking about rich, it is simply mathematical numbers and yet people look up to those who have more numbers to their name. Land ownership is mathematical too. Nation borders are based on numbers.  People steal for numbers, wars are caused by numbers, money is measured by numbers and we work to earn numbers. Weather is number based.

Math has perfect rules too. You either get the right answer or a wrong answer. If your math isn’t right in your bank account, you could bounce a check. If the Universe isn’t mathematically perfect, we all die.

God is the best mathematician ever because He created it. His measurements and rules behind the numbers are perfect! They have to be for everything to run properly. We have grown technologically thanks to God allowing us to know some of the rules He created.

Now that much of what we value is purely numbers, let’s go deeper and discuss who created the number system in the first place? Without Him, the rules of how to use numbers would not exist, and neither would we.

Although numbers are important to build, create, and exist, they do not mean anything without a Creator. Thinking this way, we know where our true priority should lie and it’s not numbers.

Even people who do not know God do not do things as bad as that! But,  you are still proud of yourselves! Instead, you ought to be very sad and ashamed. You should have sent this man away from your group. When you meet, put this man under  Satan's authority. Satan will then destroy the man's body. Then God may save the man's spirit on the day when the Lord Jesus returns. You should not be so proud of

yourselves. Think about what yeast does in bread. A very small amount of yeast changes the whole loaf of bread. This yeast in the dough is like one person who does wrong things. You must remove this old yeast from among you. Then you will be like a  new loaf of bread. You are really like a loaf that has no yeast in it. You are pure because Christ died as a sacrifice on our behalf. He is like the lamb that the Israelites killed for their Passover meal. I already wrote a letter to you. I told you that you must not be friends with people who have sex in the wrong ways. Now I am telling you this: I was talking about people who say that they are believers. If they say that, but they have sex in the wrong way, do not be friends with them. It is the same if they want many things for themselves. They may worship idols. They may insult people. They may often get drunk.  They may deceive people and rob them. If one of your own group does things like that,  do not even agree to eat a meal with them. It is not right for me to decide about people who do not belong to the church group. God will judge those people. But you should decide what is right for the people who do belong to your group. Do what the Bible says:  ‘Send the bad person away from among yourselves.’”

Oh boy!

I am the worst sinner I know and am not proud of it! Although I agree I should not be proud of my sins or the sins around me, I couldn’t, in the core of my being, wish anyone to be delivered into the hands of Satan. They can do that all on their own and do not need my help. My role is to welcome those to Christ, encourage those to change, and  separate them from their sins. I allow the power of God to change others as I am only a  servant. I personally will not banish anyone as Christ never abandoned anyone. I will never be proud of their actions but will not cast them away either. I know, I am disagreeing with Paul. I will love it first. Part of being loving is to be completely honest so I  will never condone sin and will communicate that clearly. However, my hand will remain extended to everyone. Paul is right that sin is a virus (he uses the analogy of yeast in bread) that spreads and has no room in a Church. However, if we cut sin out of the  Church, everyone will need to be banished, especially myself. The church is a hospital for sinners. It’s the Holy Spirit who convicts sinners, not I.

So, sinners, welcome! I encourage you to repent. I do not condone your sins and I do not condone my sins either. Your sins remain between you and God as my sins remain between God and me. My hand remains extended as we sinners humbly move closer to  Christ together. Remember, Christ, surrounded himself with sinners in effort to get them to repent (Luke 15: 1-2).

I am often reminded:

“But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ,  to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall  short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the  redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His  blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His  forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,” Romans 3:21-25 NKJV

Father,

I am a sinner. I remain a sinner. I am surrounded by sinners. Please have mercy on me and them. Please help soften my and their hearts to refrain from sin. I am weak and in desperate need of your strength. Your strength will deliver me and them from sin. Thank you. In Jesus' name. Amen.
