Scripture:
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner
sanctuary behind the curtain.” — Hebrews 6:19
Reflection (Meditation):
An anchor keeps a ship steady during a storm, preventing it from drifting into danger.
Similarly, hope in Christ is the anchor that steadies our souls amidst life’s uncertainties.
Hebrews 6:19 reminds us that our hope isn’t based on fleeting circumstances but on the
unchanging promises of God. Jesus, our High Priest, has entered the inner
sanctuary—He’s interceding for us and securing our salvation. This hope is firm
because it’s not about our strength or faithfulness but about His. During Advent, let this
truth encourage you to hold fast to Christ, trusting Him as your unwavering source of
hope.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for being the anchor of our souls. When storms come, remind us of
the security we have in You. Help us to cling to Your promises and trust in Your
unchanging love. Amen.
Call to Action:
Identify one worry or fear that is troubling your heart. Surrender it to Christ, asking Him
to be your anchor in that area. Write down His promise to you as a reminder of His
faithfulness.
