Scripture:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has
given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead.” — 1 Peter 1:3
Reflection (Meditation):
Hope is often thought of as a feeling or an abstract concept, but in Christ, hope is alive.
Through His resurrection, Jesus gave us a hope that is eternal, dynamic, and
transforming. This living hope isn’t dependent on earthly circumstances but is rooted in
the reality of the empty tomb and the promise of eternal life. As we celebrate Advent, we
not only look back at Jesus’ first coming but also forward to His return. This living hope
reminds us that God is actively working in us and through us, drawing us closer to Him
and preparing us for an everlasting future. Let this hope inspire and sustain you today.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the living hope we have through Jesus’ resurrection. Help us to
live each day with the assurance of Your eternal promises. May our hope in You inspire
others to seek Your truth and love. Amen.
Call to Action:
Think about someone in your life who needs encouragement. Share the message of
Christ’s living hope with them through a kind word, note, or prayer.
