“Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me
twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.””

Have you ever had times when you just feel your prayers go unanswered? How about times you are deep in prayer and something or someone disturbs you? Or, maybe you are reading the Bible and starting to understand God’s Word and a big wind comes up and blows your pages causing you to lose your train of thought?
The Evil One and his Demons make it their mission to disrupt, redirect, confuse, delay and deceive your understanding of God. In this case, Daniel did not get a response to his prayers because the deliverer was held up by the prince of the Kingdom of Persia. Many believe the “prince of the kingdom of Persia” to mean demons or the Evil one
himself (https://www.gotquestions.org/prince-of-Persia.html).
So, if you have unanswered prayers, it could be that the Evil one is doing his work. Do not worry, God will answer you either with a yes, no or wait. If you get sidetracked on a Bible passage and get sidetracked, ask God to help you stay focused and deal with any possible distractors. God will help clear the path for you.
As James rightly points out:
“You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!”
