“For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. You have admitted you are a sinner. You accept Christ as your personal Savior and have had your sins imputed to Him.
Now, you have a shopping cart in your life. You can put in anything you want. The checkout is past the door of death and towards the judgement seat of Christ. It’s time to unload your cart and place it through God’s fire. What did you do in your life? Your savings on Earth go through the fire. Your time watching the Super Bowl goes up in smoke. That home you worked so hard to pay for? Yes, it’s burned up too. In essence, you suffered loss because none of your efforts mattered to God.
Conversely, Bible reading and praying remains and passes through the fire. Doing the work of Christ will pass through successfully. Time in Church where sincere prayer and worship takes place also passes through the fire. Kindness to strangers will be a pass too.
Today, think about what’s in your shopping cart of life. How much of it do you think will successfully pass the fire and be rewarded by Christ?
